1 Q: How long does it take to learn salsa: It depends very much on a few things: *Your
talent: do you have a feel for rhythm in general?
*Your experience: have you been dancing before? *The time you want to spend learning to dance salsa. *The time you put in to practise what you have learned. (Very important!!!!) But generally if you are keen you should be able to make nice moves after 8 lessons already. 2 Q: Where can I learn salsa (or merengue and bachata) in Muscat? We teach weekly at the moment at the PDO Recreation Centre. (see 'classes' page for more info!) 3 Q: Do I need to have a partner to come to the classes? This is preferable but we team up any singles during the class and it is better for the learning process if you learn to dance with different partners so we rotate partners during the lessons. 4 Q: What shoes do I need? They should be well fitting, not too slippery sole, not too rough sole. Ladies should have stable heels, and preferably strapped over the foot . (No sneakers or slippers). 5 Q: What clothes shall I wear? Comfortable fit but not shabby. 6 Q: What is the age of the students? We have students from 18 till 60 but the average age is between 25 and 40 (from all nationalities). 7 Q: Where can I dance salsa in Muscat? See 'Events' page of this website 8 Q: Is it something for me??? You only will know once you have tried it!! But look at the amount of people around the world who really enjoy dancing salsa! Millions!! |
